The process of working wood, the act or art of making things of wood, the skill or work of making things out of wood... 
That's what Eric does with these pieces of scrap woods.
Woodworking is the activity or skill of making items from wood, 
that includes cabinet making, wood carving, joinery, carpentry and other furniture. 


Matte the Layout artist that collects and assembles type styles and images, 
such as illustrations, photographs and logos creating a visual design in her desk that results into extraordinary kind of digital carving, 
while Eric as a woodwork specialist himself with the help of his machines that can cut different types of shapes to find and save ideas about scrap wood combined forces.

By delivering information through enhancing wood scraps into new, 
Eric and Matte share ideas with these woods and here are the outputs...










So, don't throw those scrap wood away!

While Eric is continuously building big furniture plans like storage cabinets, 
door restorations, designing chairs and dining tables for home use,
expect it might have that much scrap.

nameplate identifies and displays a person or product's name. 
Since we have so many scrap woods left,
Eric and Matte decided to create a rectangular / semi-square shaped 
measure and layout the names then finished with laser carving
Jotted down some colleagues at work, friends in our industry 
as a present or gift  for this new coming YEAR OF THE DOG (2018).

 The primary wood that we use for this nameplates / nametag is KEYAKI.
 For informative use as in an office environment, where could be mounted on a desk, 
a flat for calling cards or can be used as bag tag.











 Eric and Matte did a simple mat that can be used for an ordinary glass, 
wine glass and even a tea cup... best known as COASTER.
With a choice of "Kamon" - a traditional family seal (in japanese)
and a name as personalized label.
