BIGHEM MAISON
BIGHEM MAISON, OSAKA, JAPAN
Bigata-Hemmendinger's crib
Friends, This is more about Eric and Matte's Flat.
We would like to share what's inside the house.
The love, the courage, the theme we invested to maintain the house and make it presentable.
This house was owned by a Japanese National and was emptied for 13 years before our turn.
Since Eric and Matte were so much inspired with traditional houses, as a foreigner living in Japan, we combined our forces (French national and Filipina) that has French & Filipino synthesis of styles & means.
This is a modern Japanese inspired house.
A main-level kitchen and Western style dining on the first floor.
2 upper-level bedrooms with Japanese sala at middle room.
Small trendy Japanese tub, blue tiled bathroom, and a separate conservatory.
The minimalist approach to this space was paired with sliding doors that makes you feel as though you are right in Japan.
The house is situated on a quiet residential street of Tsuruhara.
4 stations away from KIX (Kansai Int'l Airport)
4 minute walk from the train station to BIGHEM MAISON which has a regular service from KIX to downtown Osaka.
Just few minute walk from different establishments like local shops and restaurants
(Sushi conveyor bar, Ra-Men, 24 hour Sukiya, Italian and Chinese foods).
There's a big Daiso shopping center in the area, second hand shops, Mandai Supermarket, Lawson and 7/11 convenient stores.
15 minute ride from different establishments like markets as well as being close to the local shops and post office and number of fine restaurants in the area.
ACCESS:
For our special, lucky friends or relatives who will stay in the house and wants to experience the true way of Japanese living, u can use the whole second floor out fully without sharing it with anyone else. Use everything in the property for yourself.
INTERACTION:
Eric and Matte love joining breakfast, lunch or dinner (If both time permits) with guests where
we can discuss and help you else needed during your trip in Japan.
Matte's Japanese knowledge is very limited
understands a little of Spanish language and speaks English fluently
plus her mother tongue Tagalog. While Eric speaks French, English and Japanese Languages.
This is Eric's space for his wood creations.
All his inspirations in creating wood designs are in every corner of the house.
WHAT ABOUT OUR NEIGHBORHOOD:
This is a quiet residential area. Neighborhood is quiet and homey. For travelers wanting to experience the true way of Japanese living,
Bighem Maison is a Traditional Japanese Inspired House
with a quiet residential area where there's a great way to experience the actual Japanese town.
GETTING AROUND THE AREA:
Because the house is very near at local train station of Tsuruhara, you will not waste time to visit the places for tourist spots.
We use NANKAI Line and this is the most convenient railway to tourist destinations like Namba, Nara and Kyoto. Going back the airport is more convenient too (just 4 stations away)
We suggest to at least get the unlimited pass using NANKAI LINE for your everyday train use.
This can be purchase at the airport.
It can help you save your transportation especially if you have itineraries going to Kansai Region's famous tourist spots.
