Hello everyone, hope ur enjoying your weekend! Sharing you of some wood inspiration... This is how we prepare things for wood workshop in Japan. Before the woods reach the kids, we skin it, clean and sand it first. The goal is educating Japanese kids how to reuse scrap woods to form an art and create something from it. That everything you can imagine by the use of these scrap wood is real. The government is encouraging schools to teach kids about the use of woods since Japan has large amount of unused and old ones (from mountains). There is a saying "Chop your own wood and it will warm you twice" Knowledge is the food of the soul. Eric has been doing this workshop for 5 years as an instructor for FREE! Mainly on schools. He has wide knowledge how tree grows and die. From little seeds to grow mighty trees. He has a lifelong interest on creating stuffs by using scrap woods too. Our Japanese house, what you see in every corner is made of wood. His own creation...

"When in KOREA" Korea is well-known in their music and K-dramas especially in my country "Philippines" After the hit of PSY for his album "Gangnam style" and hit songs of "K-POP girls" people around Asia were surprised to discover how talented Koreans are and their global audience are exploding across the world. But that's not the reason why we chose Korea for this month vacation... It is Eric's second time in this country which he travelled to Incheon for business trip few months back while me is my first time. We chose Busan because its a large port city in South Korea and is known for its beaches, mountains and temples. We love history and nature...that's it!
